Curriculum Vitae

Nicolas Chenouard received the Eng. degree in Bioinformatics from INSA Lyon and the M.Sc. degree in Artificial Intelligence and Decision from the university Paris VI, both in France, in 2006.  He then pursuied Ph.D. degree from Oct. 2006 to Jan. 2010 in Image and Signal Processing at TELECOM ParisTech, Paris, France, under the direction of Prof. Isabelle Bloch and Dr. Jean-Christophe Olivo-Marin. His research has focused on statistical approaches to particle tracking in microscopy images and their application to biological mechanisms understanding. He defended his Ph.D. thesis, entitled 'Advances in probabilistic particle tracking', the 21th of January, 2010, at Institut Pasteur, Paris. N. Chenouard received the IEEE EMBS France - SFGBM - AGBM best thesis price 2010 for his Ph.D. work.

Since February 2010 N. Chenouard is occupying a Post. Doc. position in the Biomedical Imaging Group, EPFL, with Prof. Michaël Unser. His current work interests are steerable wavelet design, wavelet learning, 3D image processing, biomedical image analysis.

N. Chenouard is a member of IEEE and of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. He is a regular reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging and the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing.
