Fast 3D Reconstruction Method for Differential Phase Contrast X-ray CT

AbstractOur goal is fully 3D reconstruction for gating-based differential phase contrast X-ray CT, which we approach in the standard TV regularization + ADMM way. In this setting, the sinogram is large (for us, 1600px by 500px by 1200 views) and so is the volume to reconstruct (400px by 400px by 200px). We therefore need to take special care that we compute the ADMM iterations efficiently. This boils down to having fast algorithms applying for H^T and H^TH. In this talk, I'll describe our approach to these two operations.
