AbstractIn this talk, I will give a brief introduction to template-based reconstruction techniques. Starting from a diffeomorphism-based model, we discuss an extension that also allows to vary the intensity. Here, we will focus on a simplification of the metamorphosis model, which itself defines a metric on the space of images. If a good template for our object is known, this approach leads to very high quality reconstructions. Such models are also applicable to obtain reconstructions for a time series of data, where the "template assumption" is reasonable if the time steps are small.
