High Dynamic Range Imaging

For this project, we are interested in using smart ways to transform images with large range of values into a low dynamic suited for display (typically values between 0 and 255).
There are two groups of applications:
- Proper way to display images that are aquired with a high dynamic range (e.g. in tomography),
- Combining low dynamic pictures of the same scene, acquired with different exposure times (see the illustration).
