Disparity from multiscale monogenic phase
Spring 2010
Master Semester Project
Project: 00199

Recently, we constructed a special type of wavelet decomposition called the monogenic Riesz-Laplace wavelet transform, which offers an appealing multiscale version of the monogenic signal. An interesting application of this transform is to extract topography from stereo pairs by exploiting the instanteneous phase information. The aim of this project is to follow the approach proposed by Felsberg ("Disparity from phase") and extend it and implement it using our multiscale transform.
Some preliminary ImageJ software is already available, which can form the basis for the new plugin.
Prerequisites: A course in Signal/Image Processing, Programming in Java.
