Analytical Fourier samples of spline-defined regions for pMRI reconstruction phantoms
Autumn 2011
Master Semester Project
Project: 00217
Parallel Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a challenging imaging technique. Nowadays, the goal is to reduce the acquisition scan-time while preserving high image quality. To that end, sophisticated algorithms for reconstruction are beeing developed. They need simulation phantoms for first validation.
The idea of this project would be to continue the work initiated by Isik Karahanoglu that finally lead to a conference paper and a released package for Matlab. The idea would be to introduce new bricks for the phantom that are delimited by quadratic Bezier curves instead of simple polygons or ellipses.
