Kinect (TM) control interface for 3D visualization
Autumn 2012
Master Semester Project
Project: 00239
The recently released Kinect (TM) controller from Microsoft presents interesting opportunities for interacting with 3D visualizations that have become prevalent in (bio)medical imaging.
The aim of this project is to develop a human-computer interface on the Mac platform using the Kinect controller for the purpose of interacting with 3D visualizations and performing simple tasks such as rotation, pan, and zoom. This first project will focus on the identification of the user and basic command gestures.
Programming experience (preferably in Java) required.
