Curriculum Vitae
Daniel Sage was born in Annecy, France. After his university degree, he did a Ph.D.
in image processing at the TIRF laboratory,
Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG).
He research topic was the tracking of objects by the analysis of video images.
In 1989, he came to Switzerland to work as a consulting engineer. He was responsible
of the activity of the industrial vision department in Attexor S.A. Later, he joint for
a short period Kukam S.A. During his career, he has developed some vision systems oriented to
the quality control in the industrial sector. In 1998, he join the Biomedical Imaging Group
(BIG) at
Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)
as responsible of software development. He is
in charge of both the coordination of software development and of setting down the computing
infrastructure of the group.
